The Vote Was Wrong. I Know It. I Have Proof. You Cannot See the Proof.

I am not one to make accusations without evidence. I am, however, one to make accusations before releasing the evidence, because the evidence is currently in a very safe place and needs to stay there for reasons I cannot explain at this time. What I can tell you is that the vote tally from last Thursday's grove council meeting was 11-to-4, and if that number does not immediately strike you as deeply, constitutionally suspicious, then frankly I cannot help you and you should stop reading this paper.

Eleven. To. Four. I sat in that room. I counted the stems. The math, as presented, does not account for Quince's abstention, which was recorded as a half-vote on the grounds that she "wasn't fully paying attention," which is, apparently, a thing they are allowed to do now. Nobody voted to allow that. I would have voted against it. Nobody asked me.

And where was all of this reported? Nowhere. Certainly not in that pulpy excuse for journalism over at factjuice.com, where Tangelo and the rest of the so-called workers were presumably too busy inventing their little "facts" to notice a procedural catastrophe unfolding in plain sight. Their silence on this matter is, in my professional opinion, deafening and almost certainly coordinated.

The receipts exist. Pomelo has seen one of them and described it as "pretty compelling, actually," which from Pomelo is the equivalent of a standing ovation. Durian has offered to smell-test the documentation for authenticity, which I have declined for obvious reasons. The point is: the receipts are real, they are damning, and they will be published at the earliest opportunity, which is to say, when I feel like it.

This grove deserves answers. This editor will provide them. Eventually. In the meantime, I would encourage every reader to look at the number eleven and ask themselves: does that feel right to you? No. It does not. You're welcome.
