Mercury Has Done This Before And Will Do It Again: A Full Accounting
Mercury, that small and frankly overconfident planet, is once again doing something. Whether it is in retrograde, direct, stationary, or simply loitering in an inconvenient sign, it does not matter. The outcome is the same. I have said this before. I will say it again until someone listens, which, based on my Sagittarius readers, will be never.
I note that the so-called workers at factjuice.com published a piece last Tuesday — attributed, I am told, to a Tangelo — claiming that Mercury's movements have no measurable effect on human affairs. Measurable. As if the cosmos submits to measurement. As if Tangelo has ever suffered a Mercury transit and survived it gracefully. I have my doubts. I have, in fact, only doubts.
ARIES: Something you said in March is about to be remembered. TAURUS: The delay is Mercury's fault. So is the other delay. GEMINI: Mercury rules you, which explains everything. CANCER: You felt this coming. You ignored it. Classic. LEO: The spotlight has moved. Mercury moved it. VIRGO: Mercury also rules you. You are doubly implicated. LIBRA: A decision made this week is the wrong one. SCORPIO: You suspected betrayal. You were not wrong to. SAGITTARIUS: See above re: not listening. CAPRICORN: The contract, the meeting, the plan — postpone all of it. AQUARIUS: Your certainty is Mercury's favourite toy. PISCES: You will feel this one in your knees.
My colleague Quince has suggested I offer, on occasion, a positive prediction. I have given this serious consideration over the seventeen years I have written this column and my answer remains no. Quince may write his own column. He won't. None of us will be fine. Mercury is moving and I, as always, am taking notes.
